About Bulldog Safety Anchors
The
story behind Bulldog Safety Anchors began in 1997.
 That
was the year Buddy McDonald decided to get involved in the guy wire anchor
business. After
failing to purchase a promising business that was supposedly for sale,
Buddy decided to pursue his dream of owning an anchor business on his own.
Buddy spent several years preparing to open his business. Working with
outside sources, he began to purchase building space and equipment needed
for anchor manufacture and assembly.
 Buddy's
original team consisted of "three amigos" who shared a passion
for the anchor building business.
Buddy focused on sales, while his partner
Frank Miller managed delivery. Moises, a family friend for over 20 years,
was the welder in charge of building the anchors.
At first, only anchor
rods were manufactured in-house. Anchor bottoms were purchased from an
outside source, and Buddy and his company then assembled the anchors.
Bulldog Safety Anchors had its first
sale of 240 anchors in the fall of 2003. Today the business has grown to
selling in excess of 3,000 anchors a month! Although the company has vastly
expanded, the same three amigos still form the basic team of Bulldog Safety
Anchors.
